Anh Do is one of Australia’s most popular and well- loved comedians. He’s done over 1500 comedy performances throughout Australia and Overseas. Anh’s clean, corporate friendly material and absolute reliability make him one of the country’s top corporate entertainers and a regular on TV.
Recently you’ve seen Anh on Thank God You’re Here, Spicks and Specks and Rove Live. In fact, he is one of only a small handful of Australian comedians who has appeared on US and UK TV. Many of you might also have seen Anh in any of his 5 feature film roles, including starring opposite Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving.
Anh Do, one of Australia’s most famous comedians, authors, and actors, is also one of the most hilarious public speakers in the world. However, unlike some with his same skill-sets, Anh’s unique life story makes for a poignant, relatable, and inspiring story, which he shares easily with audiences of one or one million.
Born in Vietnam in 1977, Anh’s family fled the country in 1980, landing in Australia after a harrowing journey. Since then, Anh has made a name for himself in his new country, starting his career at the age of 14 breeding tropical fish and moving on to comedy and writing later in life. Perhaps one of the most inspirational comedians and media personalities around, Anh Do is well known in not only Australia, but the UK and US as well. He has hosted for some of the top leaders in the world, including Prime Ministers John Howard and Kevin Rudd, as well as some of the most illustrious companies in the world, including Telstra, McDonald’s, and Toyota.
In the US, UK, and Australia, he has made a name for himself in television, appearing on shows such as Thank God You’re Here, Spicks and Specks, Rove Live, and Dancing With the Stars. His gut wrenchingly funny presentations and routines have earned him the title of Comedian of the Year, and led way to him writing a book based on his experience leaving Vietnam and settling in Australia. Titled The Happiest Refugee, Anh’s story won him Indie Book of the Year in 2011, as well as Non Fiction Indie Book of the Year. It was also been shortlisted for the 2011 NSW Premier’s Literary – Community Relations Commission Award.

“As lovely, lively and engaging off stage as he is on stage.”
“Anh was outstanding. The response from the 550 people attending covered a plethora of sincere and generous acknowledgements.
Anh had such warmth, generosity and connectedness to the group with his incredible story, which he interspersed with his natural infectious humour.
He was definitely the highlight of the conference day and left the audience with a deeper and more intimate appreciation of the real Anh Do.”

“Very appropriate for our event. Very professional and polished entertainer.
Great start to the night with his relaxed and easy going manner, and made me (the main co-ordinator who is always feeling rather worn out by this stage) very relaxed too.”

“Anh was an absolute pleasure to deal with a true professional, he held the room in the palm of his hand. Personally I was on the verge of tears from the story of his journey one minute and then crying from laughter the next!”
“Very easy with arrangements in the pre-planning stage, showed flexibility towards his rider items to suite our event, he was professional and organised but easy going on the night, and the feedback from his performance from our guests was all brilliant, a good mix of comedy and inspiration. He also offered to stay around and let us take photos with him after his performance, which we really appreciated. I would certainly recommend Anh Do”
