Darren Hill understands people like few others. A Behavioural Scientist, Darren’s study of people has seen him emerge as one of Australia’s most authoritative voices on the topic of behavioural dynamics within business.
An author of 3 books, with 2 more on the way, Darren has delivered his messages to thousands of people across the country and consults to some of Australia’s most recognisable organisations. A master at the art of grounded persuasion, Darren actively demonstrates you do not need to be loud or brash to stand out or step up.
A professional people watcher, unbeknown to you all, Darren has sneakily been following many of you around the Gold Coast over the weekend in preparation for this afternoon’s keynote address…he found two things;
If you can keep those good times roiling, and welcome Darren Hill to the stage to talk about Leaving a Lasting Impression.
So you’re planning a conference…
First things first, you deserve a medal! Conference planning is sooper-dooper hard work, and few (if any) get just how much work goes into the process before the doors open.
The venue is booked. Your delegate list is identified. You’ve even sorted out the dietary requirements for the celiac/gluten/peanut/vegan special people…
But have you thought about what will happen after the conference?
Because the truth is the success of a conference is partially judged at the conference, but mostly judged after the conference. Did people walk away inspired to make changes, and will it make their life easier/better/or more successful? The best conferences leave a lasting impression long after the physical event.
Fact: All conferences, in some way, are about change
In a change environment, lasting impressions matter. Whether you are in leadership, sales or managing your own business or career, being memorable is critical to success in our rapidly changing world.
Think about it for a second, if you are a business amongst an array of others, have you truly thought about how you might leave a lasting impression that would lead to the next customer or client buying your product? Perhaps you are a leader who needs their team to move in a specific direction; will they remember what you have requested, and more so, will they care? Lasting impressions matter now more than they ever have.
So much information assaults our senses every minute of the day, and therefore has created an increased need to be remembered; the ability to take root in someone’s mind has never been more important than right now.
Here’s the cool thing…I know a bit about this stuff 🙂
In fact, I know a lot about how to get an audience thinking and behaving the way they need to be. I am a behavioural scientist and it’s my day job to study people for a living. Now whilst that might sound a little creepy, it’s actually really good news for your next conference, because I understand people like few others can.
I deliver practical and grounded messages about human behaviour that are insightful, credible and often very, very funny. Audiences leave knowing more about themselves, and the people they work with. It is my mission to leave a lasting impression on any conference, training day or strategic planning workshop and I understand the science required to do so; I go to great lengths to understand the people I am there for.
But don’t just take it from me, check out all the lovely things people have said about me here.
If you are looking for a speaker who is poised and intelligent with great down-to-earth qualities to match your audience, then I’d love to hear from you.
Have a great day! (and don’t forget to pick up that medal)
